Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. At 13, I got my first camera and photographed everything I could. Though I spent a few years without one, that changed when I moved to British Columbia and began working as a guide.

As a mate on sailing expeditions through Haida Gwaii and the Great Bear Rainforest, I was surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and mesmerizing wildlife. But it was a rare encounter with a spirit bear that truly reignited my love for photography. From that moment on, I knew I had to document the world around me—and I haven’t looked back since.

Photography has taken me to incredible places and introduced me to amazing people. More than anything, it has taught me to slow down and appreciate the moment. Through my work, I strive to share that sense of wonder and connection with others.

As the founder of Black Swell Media, I’ve been a professional photographer for the past six years. My journey in the adventure guiding and resort industry spans over eight years, where I honed my skills in capturing the thrill of adventure, the charm of businesses, and the beauty of landscapes. My growing portfolio includes everything from portraits to products, showcasing a versatile eye for detail and creativity.
